Which grade of bitumen is used in hot climate?

 

             In hot climates, grades of bitumen that are typicallyused include:

·         60/70 grade bitumen: This grade of bitumen is commonly used in paving applications and is suitable for climates with high temperatures and high humidity levels.

·         80/100-grade bitumen: This grade of bitumen is suitable for high-temperature applications and is commonly used in the construction of airports and other heavy-duty pavements.

·         85/100-grade bitumen: This grade of bitumen is ideal for hot climates as it has a high softening point and good resistance to thermal cracking.

It's worth noting that the choice of the appropriate grade of bitumen depends on several factors including the local climate conditions, the type of pavement, and the traffic volume and loading conditions.
